A resolutely passionate builder, Dr. Mohamed Azeddine LAKHOUAJA is the international leader in thalassotherapy, from Tunisia to Morocco, via Spain, Egypt, Malta and soon Turkey and Greece. This entrepreneur, often in a hurry but always available, welcomed us in one of his most beautiful centers, that of the Palace of Roses in Agadir.
To our first question, he replied as follows:
Answer: Allow me not to speak directly about myself because I prefer others to judge the man I am through the work, however passionate, that I try to do, or rather, that we try to do, my wife and myself.
The adventure that our couple of doctors lives began on the benches of the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis, and our internships abroad. This continued with a Tunisian-Moroccan marriage and our installation in 1988 in Djerba. We practiced travel medicine, and the installation of a number of fitness centers adapted to this clientele of the 3rd age, follower of Djerba in Tunisia.
The transition to thalassotherapy was very natural in 1995, with the installation of our first hotel establishment and its thalassotherapy center.
Today, thank God, and thanks to all our dedicated staff of technicians, doctors, physiotherapists, beauticians, hydrotherapists and managers, 11 establishments are already open in Tunisia and 4 new ones are being completed for the year 2002. This makes Tunisia the second country of thalassotherapy after the France, and the first thalasso sun destination.
